In this week’s Staff Spotlight, we return to incredible India, which is where Karma Concierge Issac calls home.
Issac has been part of the Karma Group family since 2020, bringing his positivity and hard work into the Goa office every day – and keeping our Members smiling!
It’s our pleasure to introduce you to Issac D’Souza…
Where are you from and how long have you been working for Karma Group?
I am from Ponda in Goa & have been working for Karma Group for more than 2 years now.
Tell us something interesting about you that only a few people know!
Many people know me as a person who is outgoing and socially confident, but I also like to spend some alone time reading novels, binge watching TV movies & series.
Why do you love living in your city?
Many people around the globe dream of visiting Goa and holidaying here because of its beaches and calm nature – I feel lucky to be born in Goa.
If you could visit any country in the world, where would it be and why?
I would really love to visit Australia. It has so much diversity that you can find everything from beaches to mountains, theme parks to ski resorts and vineyards to wildlife. Visit the iconic Opera House in Sydney, go snorkelling at the Great Barrier Reef and check out Kangaroo Island’s rugged beauty.
Do you have a favourite authentic Indian dish you could recommend?
My favourite dish is the ‘Goan Chicken Xacuti’ – It is a spicy, tangy, savoury dish that makes your mouth jump with several flavours.
Holi Festival is coming up in March, how do you and your family/friends like to celebrate?
I celebrate the festival of colours with my friends, playing with coloured paints & jumping into the pool!
What do you like the most about being part of the Karma Group team?
Working with Karma Group has helped in many ways; it taught me to be independent as I was a rookie with no work experience. I learnt to be adaptable to any situation that I may come across.
What is your inspiration to have good well-being and work hard in life?
I always follow the quote; “If you can dream it, you can do it” by Walt Disney. This motivates me to work hard every day to achieve my dreams.
