Emily is our Member Communications Manager, which in short means she works with her team of three to provide our Members and guests with tempting destination articles, enticing social media content, unmissable competitions, and replying to all of your online comments and messages – along with much more!
Let’s meet Emily…
Where are you from and how long have you been working for Karma Group?
I’m originally from a teeny tiny island in the Channel Islands called Jersey and I’ve been working for Karma Group for three and a half years… Wow, that’s gone fast!
What does your average day in the Bali office look like?
I like to get to the office early so that I can enjoy a coffee before I start, then I will check my emails and have a quick catch-up with my right-hand girl – Eleanor, to go over our plan of action for the day. After creating Member offers and content on our resorts, giving myself travel envy for a few hours, I usually have an afternoon tea break – very British of me I know – followed by meetings and even more content creation!
What inspired you to move to Bali?
I left the UK in 2017 with the intention of moving to Australia, but found myself falling in love with Bali, its culture, people and weather! After that, I just didn’t want to leave.
If you weren’t in your current role at Karma Group, what else would you be doing?
If I wasn’t working with Karma Group, I think I would enjoy working in event planning. My friends and I love to do huge over-the-top themed celebrations and I really enjoy the creative side of turning an idea from a concept into a reality.
Which of the UK resorts is your favourite and why?
Although I haven’t had the chance to visit yet, I would say Karma Lake of Menteith. Being of Scottish descent, I have been travelling there my whole life and I’m glad our Members now have the opportunity to experience Scotland’s natural beauty!
What’s your favourite dish from Jersey/England?
Anything unhealthy! You can’t beat an English roast dinner, fish & chips on the beach or just a bar of Galaxy chocolate.
Where is next on your travel bucket list?
I just returned from visiting family in Jersey and am already planning my next trip to Thailand in November!

Hi Emily
I am from Scotland , and our family moved to australia 22 years ago . In June we all went to stay at Lake of Mentieth for my birthday . It was even better in real life !! Hoping to visit vietman, france and italy next year !
