Karma Cares was proud to sponsor a very special rugby-themed event in London this month. Each year, Jason Leonard hosts a “Prowling Lions” Dinner in London. The event celebrates the uniqueness of the British & Irish Lions and the immense pride players from England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales take in wearing the red jersey. Leonard is of course one of the most capped players in England history, making 114 appearances for his country – as well as five for the Lions.
But the event is more than just a celebration of elite rugby and a unique team. The core aim of the dinner is to support the Atlas Foundation, a charity that provides direct care and support for children suffering severe deprivation around the world, helping them overcome challenges like malnourishment, disease, and violence. So when Jason approached Karma Group to provide support, we of course jumped at the chance, donating a prize for the evening’s auction that raised £3,000 for Atlas.
The whole evening was a huge success, with Jason accompanied by Lions notables like 2025 Chairman Ieuan Evans, Head Coach Andy Farrell as well as legendary players like Owen Farrell, Mario Itoje, Martin Johnson, Alun Wyn Jones, and Sam Warburton. Best of all, thousands of pounds were raised to support Atlas Foundation’s work on health, education, gender inclusion, rugby initiatives and the provision of safe havens for more than 200,000 children in need. Karma Cares was honoured to be able to contribute to such a great cause.
