Last week saw two very different Karma Curated Experiences taking place in India and Scotland – the first in Maharashtra was big on ceremony with a celebration of the Ganesha Chaturthi festival while in Scotland, Karma Lake of Menteith welcomed celebrated chef Cecily Dalladay for a very special culinary masterclass…
Karma Lakewood in Maharashtra hosted Ghats & Ganesha: Magic in Maharashtra from 6-10 September – a vibrant celebration of Lord Ganesha and the natural beauty of the Western Ghats. The five-day event began with a traditional Pran Pratishtha ceremony and Aarti for Lord Ganesha, accompanied by local sweets. Guests then set out on a scenic journey through the Western Ghats, witnessing breathtaking waterfalls and visiting the fabled Kas Flower Valley. The experience also included a traditional Maharashtrian breakfast, immersing participants in the region’s rich culture and landscapes.
Over in Scotland, Karma Lake of Menteith hosted Scotland’s Culinary Wonders with MasterChef UK The Professionals – Cecily Dalladay from 06-08 September, treating guests to a fascinating gastronomic journey. The three-day event began with a lakeside reception followed by an exquisite tasting menu featuring the finest locally sourced ingredients. Members were also able to explore the Trossachs National Park, foraging for ingredients later used in a cooking demonstration by famed chef Cecily, who was a finalist in Masterchef: The Professionals. The experience included a Scottish picnic, a visit to Glengoyne Distillery, and a farewell dinner at Cromlix House: all in all a beautiful showcase of Scotland’s culinary heritage and stunning natural surroundings.
