Karma Panalee : Unbeatable Views, Impeccable Service

First, a little advice, when arranging a taxi to Panalee in Koh Samui, ensure that the driver has the correct street address to avoid confusion and delays. After an adventurous start and having our initial recommendations well-received by management, our first impressions of Panalee are promising. The resort’s location, right across from the beach and near restaurants is part of its charm and we believe that plans are afoot for a shuttle service to the Fisherman’s Market. The private lap pool is a delight and the rooms are comfortable. Future improvements sound promising and this lovely resort shows great potential to become a favourite destination.

Getting around from Karma Panalee is relatively easy. A taxi from Fisherman’s Wharf costs 600 Baht but using the GRAB app reduces the fare to about 450-460 Baht. Travelling to Chaweng via GRAB costs 540 Baht, and for a more local experience, we returned in a “two-row bus” (a pickup truck with seats in the back) for 400 Baht.
The resort itself features a reception area and dining space in the front building, followed by bungalows and a hotel block. There are two pools, one in front of the hotel block and another in the garden, complete with a pool bar. The planned beach club will also include a pool and definitely add to the resort’s appeal.
