Staff Spotlight: Meet Ni Made Ayu Nita Rahayu

In this edition of Staff Spotlight, we say hello to the lovely Ni Made Ayu Nita Rahayu. Originally from Bali, she has been working with Karma Group at Royal Jimbaran since May 2023!

Let’s get to know her a little better…

What’s your role at Karma Group and why do you like working at Karma Royal Jimbaran?

I work as a receptionist at Karma Royal Jimbaran. This is my first job at a hotel after I graduated, and so far I like to work at Karma Royal Jimbaran because I get new experiences and I can develop my skills, especially in hospitality. Also, because the resort is relatively small, it is easy to interact and make friends with guests.

Can you recommend a must-see location/activity in Bali that our Members might not know about already?

One activity that guests rarely know about is Melukat. It is a guided water purification ceremony in the holy spring temple. I think when Members come to Bali, they should try it at least once because it is quite an interesting experience to try. One place that I can recommend is Taman Beji Griya Waterfall.

When you’re not working, what do you love to do?

I like going to the beach and enjoying the sunset, and I like to play with my cats and watch movies.

If you could visit any of the Karma Group properties across the world which would it be?

I want to visit Karma Bavaria in Germany – I hope I can go there someday, for the food, sightseeing, and the culture.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!

A fun fact about me is that I like spending time outside or hanging out, but I’m also a homebird and love going home after an hour haha!

Which Balinese holiday is your favourite and why?

I like Nyepi Day, the calmest day in Bali. At night you can see the beautiful sky full of stars with your own eyes.
