Still basking in the highlights of our Thailand adventure, it certainly struck the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation, with every day offering new experiences and memories.

Kicking off with a superb culinary experience at the Michelin-recommended Day & Night Café Bar in Phuket was a real treat. This vibrant, contemporary spot offers a blend of Thai and international dishes and really set the tone for a perfect trip.

After settling into the stylish Karma Royal Boat Lagoon, we explored the Phuket Old Town, where the vibrant streets, Sino-Portuguese architecture, and lively markets took us back in time. A visit to the towering Big Buddha, a 45-metre statue overlooking Phuket, was a spiritual highlight, and the panoramic views from Promthep Cape, especially during sunset, were truly breathtaking.

The next day, we embarked on a thrilling Phi Phi Island day trip, speeding through the turquoise waters to places like Maya Bay, Monkey Bay, and the serene Blue Lagoon. A must-do for any visitor, this tour combines snorkelling, beach relaxation, and jaw-dropping scenery. For a more personal adventure, hiring a traditional long-tail boat allowed us to explore the Blue Lagoon up close—a highly recommended insider tip.

In Koh Samui, we found true tranquillity at Karma Panalee which is nestled among lush greenery, yet only steps from the sea. The resort’s serene bungalows and two inviting pools were perfect for unwinding. Be sure to start your day with a peaceful swim in one of the two pools and avoid the crowds.

During our exploration of the island, the Tarnim Magic Garden was a mystical haven, best visited early in the morning to enjoy its peace and beauty. Also, the gravity-defying Overlap Stone to the spiritual atmosphere at Wat Khunaram, home to a famous mummified monk, offers a rich cultural and spiritual experience.

We also made time to visit the bustling Fishermen’s Market and Bophut Night Market, where the laid-back vibe, live music, and fresh seafood made for an enjoyable evening. Dining at Coco Tam’s while watching their famous fire show added a touch of magic to the night.

SEEN Beach Club and Ark Bar, where we spent sun-soaked days lounging by the pool and ocean, capped by lively evenings with fire shows and DJ sets, has a really lively, fun vibe. And we couldn’t leave without indulging in a seafood feast at Sabienglae Restaurant in Lamai—undoubtedly some of the best seafood we’ve ever had.

Discovering Thailand’s vibrant culture, spiritual sanctuaries, breathtaking landscapes, and thrilling adventures — including the hospitality and serenity of Karma Panalee, was an unforgettable experience.
