Greetings from Karma as we enter the final quarter of 2024, a year of many great moments. It’s time to review the past 12 months and look ahead to 2025 with optimism and excitement as the Karma world continues to grow and provide us all with the most important of benefits – a time and place to relax.
2024 has seen many technological advances which will continue to benefit our world and Karma is deep into its own digital revolution with a new website and interactive APP that will transform the way you, our many Members, can use your membership entitlements. We are investing heavily in this real-time digital system and are thrilled with the first drafts. We will now be pushing for online release as quickly as possible. Our intention is to make your holiday booking experience much simpler, easier and quicker, so that you can spend more time relaxing in paradise and less time stressing at home. Watch this space for further announcements over the coming months.
For those who are already planning their next escapes, don’t forget the new options that have been added through the course of this year – starting with Karma Bayon in Siem Reap, home to the fabulous Angkor Wat temple complex, one of the true wonders of the world. Also, in Thailand we have Karma Panalee opening in November in one of Koh Samui’s premier locations and with an accompanying Beach Club that will bring a true taste of Karma to one of our favourite destinations. At the same time, Karma Fushi, our spectacular 160 ft Maldivian superyacht, will set sail on its maiden voyage. If you haven’t already reserved a cabin, hurry up and book because that one is already proving to be a smash hit with Members from all over the world. Who doesn’t like the idea of a relaxing cruise through the sparkling waters and atolls of the serene Maldives?
Already, many hundreds of our Members have been enjoying the newly released Mentari residences at Karma Kandara, to rave reviews and we are expecting the final renovated units at Karma Bavaria to be completed early in the new year, along with a total revamp and transformation of the units at Karma Borgo di Colleoli in Tuscany. Also in the pipeline are more apartments at Karma Chateau de Samary and Haathi Mahal in Goa, which is also where Karma Varuna in Benaulim will undergo a total renovation over the coming months, to enhance our offering in India.
New eateries have opened at Karma Kandara in the shape of our speakeasy sports bar Schooners for all fans of sports and live entertainment and the wonderful beachside ambience of our new pan-Asian Warung Pantai featuring a panoply of dishes from South and South East Asia. And before the end of the year visitors to Carcassonne will be able to indulge in their favourite French rustic dishes at our soon-to-open provincial bistrot ‘Le Platane’ in the nearby village of Caux-et-Sauzens.
Our Karma Curated Experience events program is growing into a full calendar of amazing options all over the world with onsite culinary and cultural meetings and even offsite gatherings at prestigious sporting events such as the Melbourne Cup, Guards Polo and the Australian Tennis Open. Our intention is to keep expanding this program, so if you have any ideas or suggestions, please let your Karma Concierge team know and we will strive to make your dream event a reality. In addition, we will shortly be launching a series of online forums based around specific areas and activities that we know our Members will appreciate. These will give you all the opportunity to engage with senior Karma managers who share your interests and which we expect to lead into a whole new range of Curated Experiences.
Enclosed with this letter is your annual Management Charge invoice. As promised, even though we have been facing high inflation in many areas, we are only applying a 5% annual increase, the second of five years for which we have guaranteed to keep increases at this modest level. Once again, we also include a spa credit voucher, as we have done in the past, so please take advantage of that and book your next holiday when you are ready – just contact your Karma Concierge and check out all the new options. They can also help you make the most of your Points which is something we will be focusing on in 2025 – giving you easier and more economical ways to spend your Points at the press of a button.
