Karma Group has once again figured prominently in the prestigious Haute Grandeur Global Excellence Awards which recognise the best in the world when it comes to luxury hospitality. Flagship property Karma Kandara set on the limestone cliffs of Bali’s iconic Bukit Peninsula, swept the board with no fewer than five Excellence Awards, solidifying its status as a premier luxury destination.
Karma Kandara clinched top honours as the Best Beach Villa in Asia and Best Beach Resort in Indonesia, while also being recognized as the Best Boutique Villa and Best Family Resort in Indonesia.
Of course it’s not just incredible locations, facilities and amenities that win us awards like this, but the staff that make everything run like clockwork. So we were also delighted that the individual charged with Kandara’s successful operations Shaun Dünhofen was named Best General Manager in Indonesia.
Destination restaurant di Mare, with its spectacular cliff edge setting and Mediterranean meets pan-Asian culinary offerings also garnered global recognition, claiming the titles for Best Gourmet Cuisine and Best Indonesian Cuisine globally, showcasing the culinary prowess of chef Joe Antonishek – who was also named Best Head Chef in Asia. There were also awards for Best Health & Wellness Cuisine and Best Cocktail Presentation.
