Here at Karma Group, we have a longstanding love of rugby union, which is reflected in the close ties we have with players, teams and the game as a whole. Some of the legends of the game are Karma Ambassadors, while we regularly share invitations to big matches and peripheral events as well as supporting causes connected to rugby. So we’re super excited about the Six Nations tournament – which got underway this weekend – with Ireland beginning their defence of the title by beating France in the opening game, Scotland edging Wales – who staged a stunning second half come-back from 28-0 to 28-27, and England also squeezing past Italy.
All in all it promises to be a scintillating tournament off the back of last year’s World Cup. What’s more, a brand new Netflix docuseries kicked off on 24 January to coincide with this year’s Six Nations. The series, Six Nations: Full Contact, captures all the behind-the-scenes drama of last year’s Six Nations tournament from the perspective of the players, the coaches and the fans.
On January 31, nine Karma Group Members were lucky enough to attend the Legends of Rugby gala dinner and fundraiser. Seated at the table of former England rugby international and Karma Ambassador Phil Greening, the group was able to get up close and personal with legends of the game both past and present – with the post-dinner party taking place at Karma Sanctum Soho. So who have you got winning this year’s championship? Can anyone stop the Irish juggernaut? Below you’ll find the upcoming fixtures for next weekend – and if you’re staying with us at a Karma Group resort you can be sure we’ll be tuning in for all the action!
