This week’s Karma Curated experiences take us on roads less travelled, through mangroves, monsoon trails, marine parks and backwaters, with a brand new coffee series along the way…
First up, on 23 August, monsoon season turns Karjat – a lush hill town outside Mumbai and Pune, famed for its waterfalls – into the year’s wildest playground. Hidden falls, natural jacuzzis and jungle trails await, with optional cliff jumping for those wanting some adrenaline in the mix.
Come early September, a new addition to the Karma Curated calendar arrives: The Roast Society series. Launching in partnership with Subko, one of India’s most exciting craft coffee and cacao houses, the series takes Members behind the scenes of specialty coffee and chocolate making across three cities — Delhi on the 5th, Mumbai on the 12th and Bangalore on the 19th. Expect guided tastings, hands-on brewing sessions and a pod-to-bar cacao journey, all served alongside unlimited specialty coffee and a curated high-tea spread.
Then, looking ahead to 2027, two very different escapes open the new year. On 13 January, Thailand beckons Members with a nature-based adventure in Angthong National Marine Park, staying at Karma Panalee. A magical mini archipelago of limestone karsts and emerald lagoons make up one of the country’s most striking protected marine areas, with a cruise to the famous Emerald Lagoon and a hike to a panoramic lookout among the highlights.
Days later, on 19 January, we’re headed to Kerala, where Members will glide through Kumarakom’s backwaters aboard a traditional kettuvallam, taking in fishing villages, paddy fields and a sunset performance of Ottanthullal dance from Karma Chakra.
And on 23 January, Bali offers a final flourish to the season. From Karma Royal Sanur, Members trade beaches for a traditional boat tour through tranquil mangrove forests, then wander Denpasar’s markets and heritage landmarks before a poolside barbecue rounds off the day.
From jungle trails to backwaters, coffee counters to mangroves, this tranche of Karma Curated experiences promises adventures and indulgences aplenty.
