The world’s best surfers are heading to Rottnest Island to compete in a one-off World Surf League (WSL) event. This is the first time the Australian leg of the epic annual World Surf League Championship Tour Events will be held on Rottnest island.
The dates of the Rip Curl Rottnest Search presented by Corona will be held May 16-26th and will bring both national and international exposure to the stunning Rottnest Island destination, as well as add to WA’s growing reputation as a world-class surfing state.
Says Mark Lane, CEO of Surfing WA: ’This one-off event represents another real opportunity for a WA female and male surfer to compete at the highest level possible in surfing.’
Other regions confirmed for the Australian leg include North Narrabeen (NSW) and Margaret River (WA).
