In this Staff Spotlight edition, we meet the lovely Tina who is originally from India, but has been working with us at Karma Bavaria for almost 8 years now in the F&B and events departments!
Let’s get to know her…
Bavaria is known for its rich culinary traditions. Are there any local food or drink specialities that you recommend to guests trying for the first time?
The typical traditional Bavarian drink is a “Hefeweizen” beer, but especially in the summer visitors prefer a refreshing Aperol Spritz.
Food wise you can’t go wrong with a schnitzel and fried potatoes – with our little guests it’s always a hit. Or if you fancy going big, I always recommend a typical Bavarian pork knuckle.
For dessert, Bavaria is a paradise. You can choose between several traditional cakes or you simply stay with our famous Apfelstrudel covered in warm Vanilla sauce.
We know you love planning guest events when you’re not busy in the restaurant, what are your favourite kinds of Bavarian experiences to immerse our Members in?
Our Karma Bavaria events are always a hit for our Members. It doesn’t matter if you come in the summertime and you enjoy a beautiful bike ride around the lake, where we also visit the waterfalls. Or in the winter we simply entertain everyone with game nights or our weekly wine and cheese event.
If you are a Mountain lover, just like me, I always recommend a hike through the mountains in the Winter wonderland.
What do you appreciate most about living and working in Schliersee?
As a Goa girl who loves nature and open-minded people, I believe Schliersee has everything you need. The scenery is breathtaking with the lake surrounded by the mountains, with plenty of cafe bars and restaurants where you can easily find new friends.
And at work, I appreciate the multi-cultural atmosphere where we all can learn from each other in a fun way.
If you could have dinner with any famous chef or food personality, who would it be, and what would you like to ask them?
That is a tough question because I like so many of them. I believe every chef is an artist and I always would like to know how the ideas became reality and what drives them to create new dishes.
Karma Bavaria is a place for relaxation and adventure. Can you share a hidden gem or a unique experience guests should not miss during their stay?
For sure our famous Winkelstüberl restaurant with its amazing cakes. Also a hike to the waterfalls is a unique experience every time.
What do you like to do in your free time when you’re not impressing Members at Karma Bavaria?
As I mentioned before, I am a nature girl. Hiking all the mountains around me gives me satisfaction. And of course, not to forget, a nice shopping day in Munich.
What do you enjoy most about being part of the Schliersee team, and how does it contribute to creating a memorable guest experience?
Working as a team with good leadership is always the key to our success. The clients will feel it and appreciate that we always go the extra mile to create a unique experience at Karma Bavaria!
