In this week’s Staff Spotlight we return to incredible India, where the wonderful Karma Concierge Dazline calls home. Dazline has been part of the Karma Group family since 2018, bringing her warmth and hardwork into the Goa office every day – and keeping our Members smiling!
It’s our pleasure to introduce you to Dazline Vaz…
Where are you from and how long have you been working for Karma Group?
I’m from Varca. A village between Benaulim – home to Karma Royal Palms and Karma Benaulim – and Cavelossim – where Karma Royal Haathi Mahal is located.
I’ve been with the Karma Group for almost 4 years now.
What is your favourite thing about working for Karma Group?
No two days are the same! And I love that! Each day brings its own challenges and the opportunity to help different members with their queries. All these experiences have taught me a lot about excellence in customer service.
How would you describe the culture in the Karma Concierge India office?
Camaraderie and teamwork is most evident in the Karma Concierge (India) office.
Our main responsibility is to our members and we work extremely well together to ensure hassle-free service to the members of the Karma Club.
I am, by nature, a dedicated and hardworking person. Working with the Karma Concierge team gives me the opportunity to deal with difficult tasks and challenges – thus bringing out the best in me. I have learnt and grown so much in the past 4 years – both professionally and personally.
If you could recommend a Karma Group property in India, which would you choose and why?
I had the opportunity to visit two Karma Group resorts in 2019 – Karma Sitabani and Karma Golden Camp.
Of the two, I fell in love with Karma Sitabani. Spending time on this property, surrounded by the songs of birds, with so much greenery around and being able to see wildlife thriving was such a treat! I highly recommend that all our members make a booking to stay here at least once.
Karma Sitabani is also close to other places of interest like Nainital, Haldwani etc. Another reason to visit.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
I’m extremely proud of my cooking skills and I’m always looking forward to impressing people with the great food I cook. Knitting is another passion and I also like gardening.
Do you have a favourite Indian dish that you would recommend?
When I visited Karma Sitabani, I tried their local Kumaoni cuisine for the first time. The dishes are extremely flavourful without being overly spicy or oily. A must-try in my opinion.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
With the opportunities to learn and grow, I look forward to being a successful professional with the Karma Group!!
