Exploring WA with Karma Nomad

Buckle up and prepare for an adventure with Karma Nomad! 

If you’re new to Karma Group and aren’t up to speed, Karma Nomad is our rentable (and super comfortable) motorhome service in Australia and New Zealand where you can head out onto Australasia’s open roads – with up to 6 people. 

This week, we have some road trip inspiration for you… Departing from the lively city of Perth! 

From sipping fine wines in Margaret River to marvelling at the whimsical Wave Rock near Hyden, this itinerary promises excitement and discovery – so, grab your sense of wanderlust and join us as we hit the road:

Day 1: Perth to Margaret River

• After picking up your Karma Nomad motorhome, depart Perth and head south towards Margaret River, known for its stunning coastline, wineries, and forests.
• Along the way, stop at Bunbury to see the friendly dolphins at Koombana Bay.
• Arrive in Margaret River in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day exploring the local wineries or relaxing at one of the beautiful beaches.

Day 2: Margaret River

• Spend the day exploring the Margaret River region. Visit wineries for tastings, sample local produce at the markets, or take a hike through the Boranup Forest.
• Don’t miss the stunning coastline, with spots like Surfers Point and Hamelin Bay offering great opportunities for surfing or snorkelling.

Day 3: Margaret River to Albany

• Depart Margaret River and head southeast towards Albany, a historic town known for its natural beauty.
• Along the way, stop at Denmark and visit the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk to experience the ancient tingle forest from above.
• Arrive in Albany in the afternoon and explore the town’s museums, galleries, and historic sites.

Day 4: Albany to Esperance

• Depart Albany and head east towards Esperance, famous for its white sandy beaches and turquoise waters.
• Stop at the stunning coastal cliffs of the Great Australian Bight and take in the breathtaking views.
• Arrive in Esperance in the late afternoon and relax on one of the many beautiful beaches, such as Twilight Cove or Lucky Bay.

Day 5: Esperance to Hyden (Wave Rock)

• Depart Esperance and head north towards Hyden to see the famous Wave Rock, a natural rock formation that resembles a giant wave.
• Along the way, stop at Cape Le Grand National Park for stunning coastal scenery and the chance to spot kangaroos on the beach.
• Arrive in Hyden in the afternoon and explore Wave Rock and the surrounding area.

Day 6: Hyden to Perth

• Depart Hyden and head back towards Perth, taking your time to enjoy the scenery along the way.
• Stop at the historic town of York for a stroll down its charming streets and a visit to the local museums.
• Arrive back in Perth and drop off your Karma Nomad motorhome, concluding your unforgettable road trip.
