Karma Curated Experiences – An Evening of Perfect Pairing at Karma Salford Hall

On the 23rd of March, we hosted the first of our complimentary, Members-only Karma Curated Experiences event – Which are sure to be a regular occurrence throughout the year at different Karma Group resorts. 

Last week, over 30 of our Karma Group Members and other resort guests joined us at our historic hotel Karma Salford Hall for a night of wine, cheese and entertainment!

Pairing 1

Cheese: Oxford Blue – Gold Standard Blue Cheese; Semi hard, smooth creamy, created by the owner of the Oxford Cheese Company in the mid-1990s.

Wine: Karma White – Karma Mâcon-Villages; this Chardonnay from Mâcon is fresh and exciting. 


Pairing 2

Cheese: Warwickshire Truckle – Godminster Cheddar, Somerset; hard pressed cheese washed over in annatto, hard, open and creamy texture, medium (heavy smoke) aroma and toasty farmhouse flavour.

Wine: Karma Rosé – Côtes de Provence; creation of a blend of grapes from a famous vineyard close to our Provencal estate, light yet elegant.


Pairing 3

Cheese: Tunworth – Traditional Camembert-style handmade cheese using pasteurised cows’ milk and animal rennet. It has a creamy texture and a thin wrinkled rind with vegetal, truffley, garlicky flavours.

Wine: Karma Red – Karma Beaujolais, Chiroubles; This is a beautifully made Beaujolais, using the finest Gamay grapes and grown at a reasonably high altitude.


Pairing 4

Cheese: Double Gloucester – Full fat hard cheese. Pasteurised or unpasteurised from Old Gloucester cows’ milk. Annatto coloured with natural rind.

Wine: Karma White – Karma Karma Mâcon-Villages; Chardonnay from Mâcon is fresh and exciting. 


Pairing 5

Cheese: Berkswell – A hard cheese, made at Ram Hall Farm near Berkswell, West Midlands, England. It is made using unpasteurised ewes’ milk and animal rennet.

Wine: Karma Red Karma Beaujolais, Chiroubles; This is a beautifully made Beaujolais, using the finest Gamay grapes and grown at a reasonably high altitude.
