Return to Incredible India!

Hello high season – “Winter” is coming, which means the next several months are the optimum period to visit India and its extraordinary regions. From the peaks of Uttarakhand to the inland waterways that wind through Kerala’s jungle, the vibrant cities and towns of India spring to life as the monsoon season comes to an end and temperatures mellow to a comfortable 27 °C.

To prepare for your next Indian adventure, we’ve answered a selection of the frequently asked questions we’ve received…

Do I need to be vaccinated to travel to India?

Since 14th February 2022, fully vaccinated international travellers no longer have to test on arrival or quarantine. If you’re not vaccinated, you’ll need to show a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken within 72 hours before your trip.

Do I need any specific documentation?

Before travelling, all travellers should complete the online “Air Suvidha” health declaration form. This form is mandatory to show on arrival. Link here.

Do I need a visa to visit India?

Most nationalities, including British and Australians, need a visa to enter India. Visas for tourism purposes range from US$0 – US$80 depending on the length of stay. You can find out more information on the Indian Government website here.

When is the best time of year to visit India?

India is wonderful all year round, but peak season is considered during the winter months from October to March – as the weather is more comfortable and rainfall less.

What are the best cities to explore in India?

We wholly recommend the incredible Goa, Jaipur, Udaipur, Bangalore, Jaisalmer, Kerala and the Corbett National Park region – where our Karma Group properties are nestled!

What travel options are available to get to India?

From the UK and Europe, there are plenty of direct flight routes. For travellers from a little further afar like Australia and Indonesia, most flight paths layover in the UAE or Thailand (airline dependent).

Now’s the perfect time to plan your 2023 Indian escape, as availability for our properties is already filling fast for next year.
