Karma Honoured for Bali Waste Commitment

Bali’s relationship with waste is one of the defining environmental challenges of our time. A tourism economy that welcomes millions of visitors a year places enormous pressure on local infrastructure – and plastic and organic waste, if poorly managed, threaten the very landscapes and communities that make the island so extraordinary.

Karma Group has long believed that operating in a place means taking responsibility for it. As part of the island-wide Bali Clean Waste Movement, Karma recently contributed 50 organic waste composter bins to the Badung Government – a practical, on-the-ground commitment to better waste management across the region.

At a formal handover ceremony attended by the Bali Governor and Badung Regency Bupati, Karma Group was recognised as one of just ten companies to receive a certificate of appreciation and special award from the Badung Government for its contributions to the initiative.

A small ceremony, perhaps. But behind it, a genuine and ongoing commitment to the communities Karma calls home.
