Getting Physical for Mental Health

We all know that our mental well-being is deeply connected to our physical health: exercise isn’t just good for tendons, muscles and organs but for your mind too. Working out releases hormones and endorphins that make us feel good – while the overall satisfaction of taking care of our body contributes to a positive outlook.

And sometimes exercise can raise money for mental health too! On Saturday 21 September, Karma Kandara team proudly took part in the Lapathon Fundraiser 2024, Indonesia’s biggest charity event for mental health awareness, organised by Shuffle & Strides.

This passionate, community-driven organisation promotes mental health through physical activity and social connection, with the Lapathon being one of their flagship 24-hour events.

This marks the second year of Karma Kandara’s support, and our team played a significant role, with four of our team members – Ed King, Dayu Armini, Irawan, and Rai Artawan – participating in the run to show our commitment.

We’re excited to continue supporting such impactful initiatives that help break the stigma surrounding mental health and foster well-being in our community.
