There’s a certain pleasure in a good country pub that intuitively understands how to get it right. No fuss, no overthinking – just solid food, a delicious pour, and a reason to stay longer than planned. That’s the lane Karma Salford Hall is leaning into with a new menu at its Tempest restaurant launching this weekend.

We’re marking the occasion on Friday 01 May from 6pm, by presenting a special tasting menu*, plus a complimentary glass of prosecco on arrival, and a DJ taking things into the evening. It’s a launch, but not a stiff one — more of a dinner that rolls naturally into a dancefloor.
The menu itself keeps things grounded. British pub staples — fish and chips, burgers, the kind of roast you plan your Sunday around — sit alongside seasonal dishes shaped by what’s good locally. The brief is simple: classic food, properly cooked, ingredients allowed to speak for themselves.

Tempest has always had the setting on its side: Tudor roots, warm wood paneling, a garden that catches the sun, and a steady rhythm of live music. And the new menu is just the comforting refresh we were looking for. The sort of place you arrive for lunch and end up cancelling your afternoon plans.
