Karma Beach Bali : Garlic Chili Prawns

Who doesn’t love a little chilli on their prawns. This standout dish is a Karma Beach favourite. Serve these at sunset with a glass of chilled wine and savor the simple things in life!

Jumbo prawns, garlic, chilies, grilled baguette, parsley, lemon

  • Place a medium size sauté pan on stove over medium high heat.
  • Add the olive oil, warm gently.
  • Season the prawns with salt, white pepper and chili flakes.  Add to sauté pan, cook gently.
  • Add the smoked paprika, sauté slightly.
  • Add the white wine, reduce quickly.
  • Meanwhile grill the baguette to toast and set aside.
  • Lower temperature to low-medium, stir in the butter.
  • Add chopped parsley, the juice from one lemon wedge and adjust seasoning with salt, white pepper and more smoked paprika to taste.
  • Place the prawns and all of the sauce in a cazuela dish.
  • Add the grilled baguette and garnish with lemon wedge, parsley sprigs and slices of radish.
