Winter Escapes For Snow & Sun Seekers Alike

Snow underfoot or sand between your toes? Whether you prefer your winters cosy & snowbound or balmy & tropical, we’ve got you covered in the first quarter of 2027. Here are four adventures for sun and snow seekers alike…

At Karma Lake of Menteith in the idyllic Trossachs countryside, Scotland’s only natural lake turns the light stark and silver; Members take to the wild sauna by the water’s edge, join the Hogmanay dook, Scotland’s traditional New Year plunge into icy water, or walk to Inchmahome Island’s ruined abbey before the short afternoon closes in. At Karma Bavaria, in the foothills of the Alps at Schliersee, Members find a different comfort: a heated pool fed by a waterfall, a wood-fired sauna, and Bavarian dishes by the fire as the mountain air turns sharp.

Further south and east, the season looks entirely different. Bali’s rainy season brings brief but dramatic downpours followed by incredible skies and sunsets plus the chance to experience the quieter sides of this iconic island. Over in Vietnam, by contrast, Hoi An hits its driest, sunniest stretch of the year: lantern-lit evenings in the UNESCO-listed Old Town, the Hoai River running past Karma Duyen’s and Karma Song Hoai’s gardens. Koh Samui enters its best beach weather of the year at Karma Panalee and Karma Sawet, while Karma Karnak glides between Luxor and Aswan past temples lit gold at sunset with Egypt enjoying ideal temperatures while Europe is still frigid.
