THE TASTE OF ITALY TOUR: KARMA SALFORD HALL
Chef Maurizio Valentini brought his exclusive nine-course tasting menu to the English countryside, celebrating Italian culinary tradition through carefully crafted, regionally influenced dishes. Set within Salford Hall’s historic surroundings, the evening paired thoughtful cuisine with optional wine pairings and genuinely convivial conversation.
WALLABIES V SPRINGBOKS: WALLABY TERRACE
Members took in the Wallabies-Springboks clash in Perth from the exclusive Platinum Terrace, with an unbeatable view of the pitch and a well-stocked bar close behind. Mini pork buns, burgers and sausage rolls kept both seasoned fans and newcomers happily fed throughout.
PERTH MEMBER MIXER
With the AFL Grand Final taking over Perth’s streets, pubs and restaurants, Members gathered to soak up the atmosphere and watch the game together, finger food and flowing drinks keeping spirits high through a buzzing city-wide afternoon.
THE BLUEFIN EXPEDITION
Group COO Vic Faulkner joined Members in the Isles of Scilly for four days built around a bluefin tuna fishing expedition with an expert local skipper. The giant bluefin were in short supply but fun was had by all with great catches of mackerel, pollack, wrasse and others. Both experiences anglers and relative beginners enjoyed a day on the water with drinks at the bar to follow, as the kitchen team transformed each day’s catch into a culinary masterpiece.
ANDAMAN & NICOBAR ISLAND ADVENTURE
Turquoise waters, vibrant reefs and Nemo-spotting set the stage, with flyboarding, marine scooters and parasailing raising the stakes. Evenings of singing, games and shared stories brought Members from five Indian cities together as something closer to family by the end.
POWER OF X: THE AFL GRAND FINAL WEEKENDER
Eight Members marked Power of X’s first stadium event on Australian soil, kicking things off with a South East Asian feast at Chin Chin, brunch beside Melbourne’s iconic MCG before kick off. The match was a tight one elevated by Kylie Minogue’s halftime show and Brisbane’s last-minute comeback to claim the premiership!
MELBOURNE SPRING MEMBER MIXER
Thirty Members flocked to the riverside on a fabulous spring afternoon ahead of Grand Final weekend, enjoying drinks, canapés, live music and the Karma Photobooth, two hours flying by far too quickly.
HARVEST TRAILS & WINE-PAIRED TABLES
Back by popular demand, Members returned to southern France’s Vendange season, following wine trails through Minervois, Corbières, Fitou, Limoux and Malepère, meeting winemakers at harvest and dining at Karma’s own Château de Samary.
OKTOBERFEST WEEKENDER AT KARMA BAVARIA
Following last year’s sell-out, Members returned to Munich’s Oktoberfest grounds and the famous Hacker-Pschorr tent, before heading back to Schliersee for after-Wiesn drinks, a distillery visit and a Slyrs whisky-pairing dinner.
BALI FIELDS & TRADITIONS
This was Bali beyond the beach. Members stepped into the island’s everyday rhythms through agricultural landscapes, local markets, temple visits and the art of making traditional Balinese offerings, with authentic flavours and an evening of dance adding another layer to the story. A quieter look at the traditions that continue to shape life across this amazing island.
THE ANGKOR WAT EQUINOX: DAWN TO DUSK IN SIEM REAP
Some mornings are worth the early alarm. Members watched the equinox sunrise over Angkor Wat before continuing through Bayon and Ta Prohm, with Pchum Ben traditions, pagoda offerings and Khmer cuisine revealing another side of Siem Reap along the way. A Phare Circus performance and sunset cruise brought the journey from ancient temples to evening light – quite literally dawn to dusk.
From sport and suppers to fishing boats, vineyards and temple dawns, September covered a lot of ground – and gave us plenty to talk about along the way.
