Goa has always been close to our hearts here at Karma – as it was here that the whole Karma Group enterprise first took shape in Karma Group Chairman John Spence’s mind. So we’re delighted to announce the advent of a stunning new Goa property: Karma Varuna is a breathtaking new retreat set to rise from the sands of Benaulim.
Steeped in legend, this coastal paradise is said to be the very spot where the god Parshurama’s arrow landed, birthing Goa itself with the help of the sea god Varuna. Now, Karma Group is weaving its own magic into this mythical landscape. Karma Varuna will unfold in two phases, culminating in a collection of approximately 100 exquisite contemporary ensuite residences. Each unit promises to be a sanctuary of style and comfort, harmoniously blending modern luxury with the area’s rich cultural tapestry.
As the monsoon rains recede, construction will begin on this jewel of the Goan coastline. Guests can look forward to not just world-class accommodations, but also playful nods to local lore. Rumour has it a larger-than-life mural depicting Varuna astride his crocodile steed may greet visitors in the reception area, adding a touch of whimsy to the resort’s sophisticated ambience.
