Answering the SOS from India!
The situation in India is critical. The CoVid-19 Pandemic is causing devastation across the country and we as a global community cannot stand by and do nothing. Karma Group has a longstanding relationship with India – it’s where we started nearly 30 years ago.
Karma Group Chairman John Spence has launched the Karma Mayday initiative – a partnership with the British Asian Trust, founded by HRH The Prince of Wales, to raise crucial funds that will literally save lives. Karma Group is contributing 5% of all revenue through the month of May, and in addition inviting all clients who come to Karma Group resorts, restaurants, beach club and spas, to add an additional 5% on to their bills.
The core mission here is to get desperately needed oxygen concentrators to India as swiftly as possible and to rapidly deploy them to the worst-hit hospitals in the country and the people who need it most. It’s anticipated that more than 200,000 of these machines are needed, as well as medical equipment and supplies. By contributing to the Karma Mayday – Oxygen for India – Emergency Appeal, you can have an immediate positive impact on people’s lives. So please, give what you can as quickly as you can.
Additionally we encourage you to launch your own money raising initiatives such as sponsored runs, auctions or anything which appeals to you. We have established a site where these events can be shared and inspire others – https://karmamayday.karmagroup.com
Right now time is of the essence. The #KarmaMayday initiative is live. Here’s your chance to be the change you want to see.
How about New Zealand dollars. We’d like to contribute but not to have to exchange currency
