The 2025 GNEX Awards just wrapped in Vegas and wouldn’t you know it but Karma Group once again secured some prestigious accolades in what is the foremost awards programme in our industry.
They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree – and Charlotte Spence is a case in point.
Karma Group’s Curated experiences and Partnerships Director is the visionary behind House of Karma, Karma Curated, and our ever-growing reciprocal partnerships with members clubs around the globe – and the daughter of Karma Group Chairman John Spence. She was a deserving winner of the coveted “Best Newcomer” Award this year. Charlotte has rapidly established herself as the leader and innovator behind our standout curated experiences for all Karma Group members, blending her background as DJ Atomic Blonde with sophisticated hospitality concepts.

Equally impressive, Suraj Naik from Karma Group in Bali was named “Best Sales Professional” – another hallowed GNEX category. His remarkable achievement in coldline business during 2024 underscores his 25-year commitment to transparency and relationship-building in luxury vacation ownership sales. Naik’s client-first approach has made him not only a top performer but also a respected mentor within the organisation.

Completing the trio of honours, Rai Artawan of Karma Kandara received a prestigious Haute Grandeur award for “Best Resort Manager (Indonesia).” In a further reflection of his considerable hospitality industry acumen, Rai has also just been appointed to the prestigious General Manager position at Karma Kandara – further cementing Karma Group’s reputation for operational excellence across its portfolio.
Congratulations to these three winners. I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Charlotte yet, but I personally know both Suraj Naik and Rai Arawak.
Suraj started us off on our Karma journey in 2016 when we met in Jimbaran. He achieved amazing sales, but in a way that didn’t feel like a sale. Since that time I try to meet up with him every time I’m there and he has always been willing to share his time for a catch up.
Rai Artawan at Kandara is always so friendly and willing to chat when we meet up each year and he well deserves his award as a top resort manager.
I look forward to catching up again with Suraj and Rai when we stay at both resorts in May/June this year and again in 2026. Hopefully I can meet with Charlotte somewhere around the world of Karma.
Congratulations to all three of you.
