Each year, the festive season unfolds to its own unique rhythms across the Karmaverse, each destination joined by our shared 12 Days of Karma celebrations. This edition we’re previewing two very different but equally enchanting end of year adventures. First up, Karma Kandara, where the 12 Days programme is packed as always. Christmas Eve brings carols with the children of the Bali Life Foundation, Boxing Night turns competitive with a multi-chef tuna carving showdown, and a full wellness calendar runs quietly alongside it all — sunrise yoga, sound healing, Muay Thai and breathwork on the rooftop, with A Karma Re-Set closing the season on 03 January in proper recovery mode: spa treatments, conscious cuisine and an Ayurvedic-inspired feast at sunset.
The centrepiece is a New Year’s Eve celebration on a genuinely spectacular scale. Karma by the Sea opens with dual cocktail receptions at Karma Beach and di Mare, Champagne and charcuterie included, before the evening converges on a run of live culinary stations: steak and lobster off the open flame, two paellas cooked before you, sushi pressed to order, curries from across India, and a final Indonesian fire station that could only belong on a Bali beach. Dessert arrives at 10:30, Champagne follows, and Karma by the Sea welcomes 2027 under the stars. For those die hards who last the pace, this year there will be a survivors’ breakfast in the early hours with a carb-fest to settle heads and stomachs.

Elsewhere in the Karmaverse, the tone shifts entirely. At Karma Lake of Menteith, the 12 Days lean into a very Scottish idea of festive fun: a whisky tasting on the 22nd, a boozy Boxing Day brunch, a hike through the Trossachs to earn Sunday’s roast, and, come New Year’s Day, the famous Loony Dook — a plunge into freezing water that’s less tradition than dare. Hogmanay gets its own bash on the 31st, bells and all.
