KARMA LONG LUNCH IN THE VINES: GUSBOURNE ESTATE — 01 Augus
Members spent the first Saturday of August wandering Gusbourne’s vines with glass in hand, working through the estate’s award-winning sparkling wines from canapés on the lawn through to a three-course lunch, each course paired precisely enough that nobody much minded the walking in between

At KYMA, Members turned jam jars into miniature ecosystems, layering moss and stone under instruction with the kind of concentration usually reserved for something more expensive. Food and drink flowed freely throughout; conversation flowed rather better once everyone stopped worrying about overwatering their new terrarium.

KERALA BACKWATERS & BOAT RACES — 06 to 08 August
On Vembanad Lake, snake boats hammered past to war-drum rhythm while Members watched the Nehru Trophy Boat Race from a rather calmer vantage point, before an evening of traditional Ottanthullal and a sunset cruise settled things back down again, Kerala flavours doing the rest.
THE LIVING GLASS SERIES: BANGALORE — 09 August
URU played host to round two of the terrarium trail, Members slowing down long enough to build their own self-contained ecosystems, one layer of moss and gravel at a time, with enough food and conversation on the side to make the afternoon disappear.
ANTIQUES OF OCCITANIE — 12 to 15 August
Members haggled their way across Occitanie, from the sprawl of the Grande Foire de Villepinte to Carcassonne’s brocantes and the village markets of Mirepoix, Castelnaudary and Fanjeaux, with long countryside lunches between stalls to slow the pace and settle the finds.
EAT, PRAY, LOVE IN BALI — 12 to 16 August
Karma Kandara’s five-day retreat took its cue from the film’s title without the crisis: pasta made by hand at di Mare, sound healing and an Indian cooking class, then Uluwatu Temple for an ocean cleansing before Kecak dancers took over the beach at dusk.
HANDICRAFTS, HERITAGE & HIDDEN FLAVOURS OF HOI AN — 15 to 17 August
Three days in Hoi An ran from jeep tours through craft villages, watching noodles pulled and rice wine brewed, to carving driftwood into keepsakes under a master’s eye. Dinner came in an ancient house heavy with stories; sunrise ended it all with kayaks off An Bang Beach.
