A Flavourful Finale

The Ultimate Karma Burger Challenge sizzled to an exciting conclusion on 10 October, bringing together top chefs from across the Karmaverse in a mouthwatering showdown. Karma Group Chairman John Spence attended the event, drawing inspiration from the chefs’ creativity and their engaging interactions with Members, many of whom have been with Karma Group for decades.

The competition served up some truly innovative creations. Chef Avajit’s jackfruit burger was an unexpected delight in the non-beef class, surprising attendees and eliciting impressed reactions. Chef Dario’s double smash beef burger offered a juicy, indulgent experience that had taste buds tingling.

However, it was Stefan’s crispy onion lamb burger that truly stole the show. Its exceptional flavour, texture, and preparation impressed the judges and attendees alike. In fact, Chairman John Spence was so taken with the high calibre of entries that he made an impromptu decision to create a third grand prize category, ensuring Stefan’s outstanding creation received due recognition.

The event’s success has already sparked lively discussions about the 2025 Culinary Challenge. Potential themes being tossed around include omelettes, club sandwiches, and fish dishes. Karma Group enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting Group COO, Vic Faulkner’s announcement in January, which will unveil the next exciting culinary adventure.

As the Ultimate Karma Burger Challenge wraps up, it leaves behind a legacy of culinary innovation and heightened anticipation for future gastronomic explorations within the Karma community. One thing’s for certain: the next challenge will have big buns to fill!
