Hey Sabine, where are you from originally and how long have you been with Karma Group?

Hi there, I’m originally from the Netherlands and I’ve been with Karma Group for quite some years now. It’s a great family to be a part of!

How would you describe your day-to-day role at Karma Group and what’s your favourite aspect?

I’d say my day-to-day role is never the same, which is something I love! My favourite aspects would be experiencing something beautiful, new and fun, and then creating beautiful content around this, content that puts a smile on people’s faces when they see it and is inspiring as well.
The kind of content that would make people dream about going to these places and experiencing something magical, and if they’re unable to go to these places anytime soon, I hope the content they see at least allows them to daydream about being there which adds a little moment of bliss to their day to day.

We know that you have the wanderlust bug and LOVE to travel… What do you like to do on the Island of Gods in your free time?

Bali is paradise for me and one of my favourite places in the world. I love surfing a lot, going on island trips, free-diving, catching sunsets and chasing waterfalls, simply catching up with my friends over a coconut at the beach, and going out to all my favourite restaurants and beach clubs.
But what I maybe love most is venturing out to all the different villages in Bali, North, East, West, South, everywhere really, and being surrounded by the “real Bali”, I love connecting with the Balinese people and culture, it’s so beautiful. I enjoy teaching in the various education centres in the Bali villages where I help teach, sometimes I’ll be teaching English classes and sometimes also dance classes.

Do you have 3 top tips for exploring a new country?

1. Wander and explore, try not to plan out too much, and don’t always stick to your plans, go where you feel drawn to, when you feel incredible and inspired somewhere, stay there a little longer and venture out a little more.
2. Explore a new country with an open mind and be present. Always have an open mind when travelling, be open to new experiences, whatever they may be. Take a small step back from your own beliefs and observe the way of doing, the beliefs of this new country you’re in.
3. Most importantly, show love & smile lots. Show a lot of love, to anyone who crosses your path when exploring a new country, get to know the people, the culture. For me it’s always the people I meet and get to know when I visit a place that really gives a new country a place in my heart. Yes most countries are so stunning, but the people and the love and kindness of these people that are waiting in these new countries, are the best thing you can experience on a trip!

What inspires you to stay creative in the ever-changing world of social media?

I would say my travels inspire me a lot, new experiences, people and beautiful places. I believe social media is a great way to connect with the world, so being present in this world and travelling the world, and connecting with people all around the world are great sources of inspiration on how to connect with the world in a more fun, authentic and creative way as well.
I love creating and being creative, I love creating something beautiful in all aspects of my life really, this includes social media as well. I love creating something that makes people feel and dream a little, something beautiful, something that inspires them as well. I love experiencing life and the world around me, it all inspires me and my creativity.
So I guess experiences are definitely important, maybe this is why Karma is a brand I connect with so well, because we always “Create Experiences” :).
