Stories Shared at Wana Seraya, Bali

On 18 August, the Karma Royal Jimbaran team spent the day at Wana Seraya Nursing Home in East Denpasar, which cares for 36 elderly residents from across Bali. Some remain active with yoga and morning exercise, while others are confined to bed but no less full of spirit.

Alongside donations of rice, clothing, food and funds, the team brought something less tangible but just as valuable—time. They helped serve lunch, sat and talked with residents, and listened to stories that reached back decades, offering glimpses of Bali long before the island became the world’s favourite escape.

The afternoon was filled with laughter, small moments of care, and conversations that bridged generations. For the Karma team, it was a reminder that giving back is as much about listening and learning as it is about material support—and that every story told keeps a piece of community alive.
