Karma Cares has long been enthusiastic about empowering young people to fulfil their potential whatever their circumstances, supporting education, arts, sports and music and more. In Bali we have a long-standing partnership with the Bali Life Foundation, which provides ongoing support, shelter and resources to orphans and disadvantaged young people on the island. The children are frequent visitors to Karma Kandara and our ambassadors often hold team building activities with them, while Karma staff and Members often volunteer with Bali Life Foundation.
Now Karma Kandara has teamed up with the local Ungasan elementary school to provide them with much needed new kit. The school’s marching band has been provided with brand new equipment, instruments and costumes allowing them to perform at a whole new level. In addition, upcoming projects for the school include funding for new chairs and tables for the students.
All of this reflects Karma’s commitment to really being a part of the communities where we work – not just through financial contributions but by engaging directly with people and institutions making a positive difference in the world.
