Every year, one of our resorts in Goa plays host to a very special event for people we consider VIP guests. It’s called Camp Royal and the guests in question are the children of Christel House Bangalore. Many of you will know that Christel House is our longest-standing charity partnership and one we’re really proud to be a part of – it has literally changed the lives of thousands of children since its inception back in the nineties. Today, Karma Group Chairman John Spence is a Board member for Christel House Europe – and we continue to provide ongoing support in terms of resources, donations, strategic input and volunteering. But for the kids, we’d venture that one of their favourite Karma offerings is Camp Royal!
This summer, Camp Royal returns with four days of fun-filled activities at Karma Royal Haathi Mahal, Goa, from 10 July. In total, 80 children from Christel House India will be joining us for an action-packed holiday featuring games and contests, movie screenings, beach picnics and water sports, pool activities and delicious food prepared by Chef Kundan and his team. There’ll also be magic shows, art competitions and cooking demos. We can’t stress enough what this means to the kids, some of whom have never left the Bangalore city limits. This kind of event can be truly seminal, not only providing an unforgettable experience, but playing a part in shaping a more positive future alongside the ongoing educational support that Christel provides day in day out.
