Karma Group has always believed in the power of adventure, community, and giving back. This belief was exemplified in the most extraordinary way as we welcomed the inspiring women of The Sisterhood Group UK at the grand finale of the Let’s Goa 2025 Rickshaw Rally. After a grueling 1,000-kilometre journey from Chennai to Goa, these women arrived at Karma Royal Haathi Mahal and Karma Royal Palms to a well-deserved celebration of their incredible achievements.
A Journey Fueled by Purpose
The Let’s Goa 2025 Rickshaw Rally, organised in collaboration with Madras Midtown Round Table 42 and Madras Midtown Ladies Circle 7, saw 54 dynamic women take on India’s roads in auto-rickshaws, all in the name of charity. With a mission to raise between Inr 1 to 3 crores, their efforts will directly contribute to empowering women and children in India through various initiatives, including anaemia prevention, skill training for financial independence, and educational programmes in tailoring, home nursing, and palliative care.
Each participant—a mix of entrepreneurs, CEOs, and founders—took time out of their professional lives to make a tangible impact. They weren’t just driving tuk-tuks; they were navigating the chaos of Indian roads, handling mechanical issues on the fly, and even attending board meetings from the back seat. Their determination and resilience were truly inspiring.

The Spirit of Sisterhood
Founded in 2006, The Sisterhood Group is a collective of over 150 women who push boundaries to raise funds for women’s and children’s charities worldwide. From dragon boating across the English Channel to competing in the Amazon raft race and tackling the Marathon des Sables, these women thrive on extreme challenges, having raised over £1 million to date.
Emma Sayle, the founder of The Sisterhood Group, shared, “Our mission goes beyond adventure—it’s about empowering women, building networks, and creating a better future for children.”
This rally was not just about endurance; it was a testament to the power of women supporting women. “We believe in the strength of collaboration and shared vision,” noted Poornima Subramanian, chairperson of LC7, reinforcing the impact of this initiative.
A Grand Goa Finale
After six days on the road, battling heat, dust, and fatigue, the rally participants crossed the finish line and arrived at Karma Royal Haathi Mahal and Karma Royal Palms, where an unforgettable celebration awaited them. As proud supporters of this inspiring initiative, Karma Group ensured that these trailblazing women had the perfect setting to unwind, reflect, and celebrate their success.
The evening was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and well-earned relaxation. A highlight of the night was the special Sisterhood Rickshaw at the entrance—a thoughtful touch that symbolised their incredible journey.
Karma Group’s founder, John Spence, expressed his admiration for the team’s efforts: “The determination and passion these women have shown is remarkable. At Karma Group, we are always honoured to support such meaningful causes that drive real change.”

The Mission Continues
While the rally has ended, the mission is far from over. The funds raised through this initiative will go a long way in transforming lives, and donations continue to pour in. The Sisterhood Group remains committed to their cause, proving that when like-minded individuals come together for a greater purpose, incredible things can happen.
Karma Group is immensely proud to have been part of this extraordinary journey. To all the women of The Sisterhood—your dedication, bravery, and spirit are truly inspiring. We look forward to more collaborations that blend adventure with impact, creating meaningful change where it’s needed most.
If you’d like to support this incredible cause, donations are still open. Let’s continue pushing for a brighter future for women and children in India.
