Can We Kick It? Yes We Can!

Sports and education have long been key Karma Cares pillars – after all, sport is often a microcosm of life itself, teaching us how to cooperate and compete and how to be gracious in both victory and defeat – all while learning new skills and looking after our bodies and minds.

Ace Soccer Academy (ASA) in Goa is a great example of this: We’ve proudly backed this youth focused football academy since its inauguration earlier this year, supporting the coaching team and 100+ boys and girls who are learning not only how to be accomplished football players – but also important life skills too.

ASA recently made its debut in the Little Gaurs League matches in an event organised by the renowned FC Goa, a professional football club affectionately known as ‘Gaurs’, that is making big strides for football development at the grassroots level. Considering this was their first taste of competitive football, the ASA squads put on an inspiring performance, achieving the following results:

  • Under-6 Category: Glorious Champions
  • Under-10 Category: Impressive Third Place
  • Under-12 Boys: Proud Runners-up
  • Under-13 Girls: Valiant Second Place

All age groups have now advanced into the finals, which will be played at Salvador de Mundo, Goa, India.

The Academy’s students are not only honing their skills but are also sought-after talents for other clubs. Four of them were an important part of the Salgaocar Football Club’s Under-10 team, who clinched the championship in the Little Gaurs League Under-10 category. Moreover, Jagdish Chavan is now showcasing his prowess in the Pro League division with Salgaocar Football Club, and Yuvraj Naik is making waves in the Under-15 category with FC Goa.

ASA isn’t just a football club – it’s a thriving hub of talent, determination and ambition – all qualities we love to get behind here at Karma Group.
