Karma Song Hoai recently brought Members, staff, and the Karma Group together for a day of giving in the hills outside Hoi An, supporting a small kindergarten of around 50 children. Generous donations from Mr. Robert and Mrs. Elizabeth Mactaggart, alongside contributions from other Members, allowed the team to provide backpacks, books, essential school supplies, and treats, as well as a warm, shared lunch.
The true impact, however, extended beyond the gifts. Smiles exchanged over simple conversations, quiet moments of curiosity, and the laughter of children playing in their classrooms created a ripple of connection that lingered long after the day ended. This visit was a reminder of the power of presence: that travel can be more than observation, and that generosity — when paired with respect and attentiveness — builds bonds that enrich both visitors and communities alike.
