Baby Turtles Head Out To Sea

Bali lies in some of the most fertile seas on the planet – part of the so-called Coral Triangle, home to more marine species than anywhere else on the planet. However, some of these species are threatened – including marine turtles. So Karma Cares was delighted to host an inspiring conservation event at Karma Kandara, bringing together conservationists, Members, staff and volunteers at Karma Beach, where 200 baby turtles were released into the ocean.

The event highlighted Karma Kandara’s steadfast commitment to giving back to the environment and the local community. Karma partnered with local conservation charity BKSDA as well as our long standing partner Bali Life Foundation through our Karma Cares programme. This collaboration supports underprivileged children and families in Bali with essential services such as housing, education, healthcare, and vocational training. Regular contributions, monthly lunches, financial aid for education, and community events are part of these ongoing efforts.

It was a privilege to partner with Bali Life and BKSDA in this special event, which we hope will be repeated in the future. You can continue to support marine conservation efforts through donations to the BKSDA Conservation, while there are opportunities to both volunteer for Bali Life Foundation or to provide donations that help them educate and support disadvantaged children on the island.
