We’re delighted to share the news that Karma Resorts Bali Regional GM Shaun Dünhofen has just been appointed the new Chairman of the Bali Hotels Association (BHA). The prestigious appointment is not only a testament to Dünhofen’s leadership but also highlights the active role he and Karma Group plays in furthering the BHA agenda.
Shaun has garnered an excellent reputation not only as a talented leader and manager, but also for his commitment to sustainability and community engagement. He’s motivated and excited to amplify BHA’s positive impacts on the island of Bali moving forward. As the new Chairman, he aims to strengthen BHA’s commitment to local communities and further champion sustainable practices within the hospitality industry.
Karma Group has long been an integral member of BHA, which represents the leading hotels in Bali and has been at the forefront of charitable and sustainable initiatives on the island for decades. The Annual General Manager Meeting celebrated the Association’s achievements, including representing members in national and international forums, promoting local sustainable products, and reinvigorating impactful programs post-pandemic.
BHA’s dedication to sustainability was further emphasised through The Sustainable Product Showcase, where hotel representatives engaged with 15 local suppliers, fostering collaborations that advance eco-friendly practices. Karma Group was a co-host of the BHA Charity Dinner and Fundraiser, which raised much needed funds for The Annika Linden Centre, which empowers differently abled people as well as environmental NGO Sungai Watch, reflecting the Association’s commitment to making a positive impact beyond the hospitality sector.
Under Shaun’s capable leadership, BHA is set to amplify its influence in championing sustainability and philanthropy, creating a ripple effect for positive change across Bali’s hospitality landscape and beyond.
