Farm to Table Culinary Masterclasses

At Karma Group resorts, our cooking classes offer more than just a meal – they’re a journey into the heart of local cultures and culinary traditions. Each resort crafts a unique culinary experience, offering you a deep dive into ingredients, techniques and history that you can bring back home with you.

In Jimbaran, join Chef Pande for a morning at Kedonganan Fish Market. Learn to select the freshest catch before returning to Karma Jimbaran to create authentic Balinese dishes. Over at Karma Royal in Candidasa on Bali’s stunning east coast, Chef Dewa might surprise you with a class set amidst picturesque rice fields, weather permitting. It’s so popular that Members often plan return visits just for these sessions. Further South in Sanur, you can learn the fundamentals of Balinese cooking with Chef Oka who shares some of his signature dishes.

Then venture to Vietnam, where Chef Tuan at Karma Song Hoai sets up an inviting outdoor kitchen by the riverside. Here, you’ll master Hoi An specialities like Cao Lau and the renowned local chilli sauce. The entire staff gets involved, making it a truly immersive experience.

Coming soon to Karma Bayon in Siem Reap: Chef Bunthoen will guide you through the rich tapestry of Khmer cuisine, from rustic dishes to royal delicacies once prepared for Cambodian kings.

For a global culinary tour, mark your calendar for December at Karma Kandara. Chef Stefan’s special masterclass will showcase signature dishes from Karma Group resorts worldwide, offering a taste of international flavours without leaving Bali.

These hands-on classes do more than teach recipes – they connect you with local ingredients, techniques, and traditions. Whether you’re a seasoned cook or a curious beginner, you’ll leave with new skills, memorable experiences, and perhaps a few culinary secrets to impress friends back home.
