    2. Some of the questions did not have the right answer as a choice. (1) Tanka is a traditional Japanese form of poetry that consists of five lines with a syllable pattern of 5-7-5-7-7. Tanka typically encapsulates a moment or a feeling, often focusing on nature, love, or the passage of time. A haiku is also a traditional Japanese form of poetry, but it consists of three lines with a syllable pattern of 5-7-5. (2) Sylvia Plath’s only published poetry collection during her lifetime is titled “The Colossus and Other Poems.” (3) The longest poem ever written in the English language is considered to be “In Memoriam A.H.H.” by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. “In Memoriam A.H.H.” by Alfred, Lord Tennyson is longer than “The Faerie Queene” by Edmund Spenser.

    3. The theme for World Poetry Day 2024 is “Standing on the Shoulders of Giants.” This theme is about how famous poets from the past have helped make poetry important in different cultures. They’ve paved the way for others to follow and have made poetry more important.
