August saw two very different Karma Curated Experiences taking place, with Members enjoying elite level women’s polo in the English countryside among the cream of British society at the Guards Polo Club, while over in Goa, we took a deep dive into the rich culture and cuisine of the region…
Polo, Pimm’s & VIP Treats
Karma Group Members enjoyed a glamorous day at the Ladies Guards Polo Charity Tournament. The skills and dexterity on display were jaw-dropping with a highlight being a stunning goal by Nina Clarkin which happened right in front of the group’s table! Karma Group Member – Mrs. Rashmiben – has long dreamed of attending a polo match so it was wonderful to be able to make it a reality and in spectacular fashion! Guests sipped champagne, savoured Pimm’s, and enthusiastically participated in an auction that raised £5,000. A truly elegant affair!
Quintessential Goa: Bonderam, Feni & Fontainhas
The Bonderam Festival is one of Goa’s most vibrant and dynamic, with colourful flag parades, lively floats, and authentic Goan flavours. This was the centrepiece of a cultural and culinary deep dive, with an enthusiastic and curious group of Members making the most of the unique opportunity to experience Goa’s hidden sides. They enjoyed traditional meals, sampled local drinks like Feni, and toured Panjim’s historic Latin Quarter. Despite some rain, the charm of Goa’s culture, including visits to the Museum of Christian Art and Fontainhas’ heritage houses, left everyone thoroughly enchanted.
