At Karma, hospitality isn’t just a human affair — it’s also delivered with wagging tails, soulful eyes and muddy paws. Across our resorts, a cast of canine characters have made themselves indispensable to Members’ stays.

At Karma Salford Hall in the English countryside, the Tudor lawns belong to Lady Macbeth, a Cockapoo with more charm than courtly intrigue. Regal in name but playful in spirit, she bounds between guests demanding attention, before collapsing in a heap at the nearest crackling fire. Her favourite indulgence? Chicken feet and long belly rubs after countryside walks.
In Crete, Princess Freya reigns supreme at Karma Minoan. A fox-red Pomeranian with a royal presence, she’s often spotted perched at the head of a table or nestled in the arms of a dancing guest during Greek Nights. Despite her size, she commands an audience like no one else.

Over in Andalucía, Ruffo rules the cobbled courtyards of Karma La Herriza. This baby-faced rogue has perfected the art of escape, slipping out to join guests on woodland strolls or to chase shadows in the Spanish sun. Equal parts trickster and loyal companion, he’s adored for his irrepressible energy.
In the Himalayan foothills at Karma Martam Retreat, in Sikkim, an entire pack — Jhumri, Rocky, Mansu, Lucy and Kali — have adopted the role of guardians and guides. Whether accompanying guests on village walks, keeping a watchful eye from the steps, or curling up beside bonfires, their presence makes Martam feel like home.

And finally, the undisputed superstar: DJ the French Bulldog, who has become Karma’s unofficial mascot. Known across properties, he greets Members with a brindle grin and a love of prosciutto, embodying his self-proclaimed title: “Head of Hugs & Hospitality.” DJ is the George Clooney of canines — charismatic, photogenic and impossible to ignore.
Don’t forget that many of our resorts love to welcome four legged family members too – with Karma St Martin’s standing out as our most awarded pet-friendly resort, if you fancy treating your pup to a princely holiday!
