October saw three very different Karma Curated Experiences taking place – from the historic English Cotswolds to India’s high Himalaya to the South of France, Members immersed in culture, cuisine and nature over a magical long weekend…


Rituals in the High Himalaya (11-14 October)

Members immersed themselves in the vibrant Kullu Dussehra festival, joining half a million devotees in Himachal Pradesh’s majestic valley. Under Resort Manager Tulsi Prakash’s guidance, they participated in traditional dances and rituals at Dhalpur Maidan. The experience deepened with a hands-on cooking class, learning to make Siddu, and culminated in witnessing a mesmerising performance of Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana from the Ramayana.


Fine French Flavours in Carcassonne (11-13 October)

A gastronomic adventure unfolded in southern France as Members explored Les Halles de Narbonne, France’s legendary indoor market featuring classic French produce. The journey included a scenic seafood lunch by Gruissan’s salt pans, wine tasting at La Clape, an elegant dinner at Chateau de Samary, and a memorable meal at Casquette et Chapeau in picturesque Montolieu.


The World of Shakespeare (11-13 October)

Literature lovers delighted in a weekend exploring Shakespeare’s homeland, beginning with a guided tour by Adrian Wilmers and traditional cream tea. The experience included an engaging literary quiz, visits to Shakespeare’s birthplace, live performances of Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet, and concluded with a farewell Sunday lunch hosted by Karma Salford Hall’s Operations Manager Lizzy McLean.
