Nearby, truffles are unearthed in damp woodland, Puccini drifts through candlelight, and spa hours stretch into the afternoon at Karma Borgo di Colleoli.

Across Southeast Asia, festivals anchor the calendar. Phuket hosts Loy Krathong under the full moon, with floating krathongs released at Saphan Hin Park after Thai dinners and night markets.
