Last month, we announced the launch of the Ultimate Karma Burger Challenge, which pits talented chefs from across the Karmaverse against one another in a glorious quest to come up with the holy grail of bun-patty-condiment combinations: the Ultimate Karma Burger!
Well, we’re excited to report that the first burger brawl battle has already taken place, with nine budding burger brawlers including chefs from our Bali and Vietnam resorts plus honourary creative entries from Karma Group COO, Vic Faulkner and VP of Sales, James Casey – going head to head at Karma Kandara in a blind taste test.
The panel of eight judges, led by Joseph Antonishek, Karma Group’s Senior Executive Chef was treated to a panoply of patty ‘n’ bun combos, each unique, each delicious, as our chefs flexed their grill skills, offering up a wide range of novel burger creations, with sides to match.
All of the judges agreed that they would order each and every burger again – but of course, in the end there can be only one winner. We’ll discover who that is later in the year. For now, however, we look forward to the Europe heat of the competition which takes place on 06 August at Karma Bavaria. Members who are staying with us at that time are more than welcome to come and celebrate with us!
The final showdown is set to take place on 08 October at Karma Kandara, when the Baron of Burgers will be crowned and their Ultimate Karma Burger will take its hallowed place on Karma menus around the world!
