Karma Bespoke Scents by Azzi Glasser

At Karma Group, scent is now woven as thoughtfully into the guest experience as architecture, cuisine or landscape. Karma Group has partnered with acclaimed perfumer Azzi Glasser, founder of The Perfumer’s Story, to create two bespoke fragrances that reflect its Asian & European settings.

Glasser has long been regarded as one of Britain’s most original perfumers, creating signature scents for cultural icons including Helena Bonham Carter, Jude Law, Kylie Minogue and Austin Butler, as well as designing olfactory identities for hotels and galleries. Her work is defined by an ability to translate character and place into fragrance, making the invisible unforgettable.

For Karma Kandara, Glasser has created an opulent blend that opens with bergamot, cypress and laurel leaf before settling into layers of jasmine, clary sage, incense and oud—echoing the resort’s cliffside gardens and ritual evenings scented with frangipani and woodsmoke. By contrast, the fragrance for Karma Salford Hall in the Cotswolds speaks of English heritage and summer gardens: sparkling bergamot and lime give way to violet, champaca and plumeria, underpinned by vanilla, vetivert and mousse de Saxe.

Glasser was recently recognised in the Marie Claire Fragrance Awards 2025 for her hand-poured scented candle Rain on Earth, affirming her position as one of perfumery’s most distinctive voices. For Karma Group, her work offers something lasting: an invisible signature that guests carry with them long after they leave.
