Vegan cuisine has exploded in popularity over the last decade or so. Once considered niche, it’s now as much a culinary movement as it is a lifestyle choice. Vegan restaurants are on the rise, serving truly gourmet food that is less about mimicking familiar dishes and more about all out culinary creativity. The point being: you don’t have to be a vegan to enjoy vegan food! That said, you can now source meat free burgers that are legitimately… well, burger-like! Here are a few of the advantages of bringing more plant-based dishes into your diet:
- Your health! Adopting a predominantly plant based diet has a myriad proven benefits – lowering blood sugar levels and blood pressure, reducing the risk of heart disease, staving off cancer, helping you maintain a healthy weight, improving kidney function… the list goes on!
- The planet’s health! Eating more plants reduces our impact on the planet – after all it takes a huge amount of land and resources to raise livestock. If we all ate a little less meat, we’d free up land, save millions of litres of water and reduce harmful greenhouse gas emissions.
- At Karma, we always source our meat ethically. But around the world, the commodification of domesticated animals is happening on an industrial scale. Less demand for meat means fewer animals – and hopefully therefore better conditions for them.
- Vegan food done well is delicious! And as it continues to go more mainstream, there’s a huge amount of choice – both in restaurants and in supermarkets. Which means going plant-based isn’t a sacrifice – it’s an adventure!

Yes it is 100% correct. I appreciate the efforts of Karma group in this right direction which will bring about well-being to self & the earth.
