It’s the ideal season to visit Egypt – and we have a very special offer to tempt you. As we touched on last week, the key resort areas and tourist destinations are safe and relatively easy to get to. What’s more, it’s the perfect time of year to visit.
That’s why we’re offering a seven night cruise aboard Karma Karnak, our elegant four deck vessel sailing between Luxor and Aswan, for just 25 points per person, including all onboard meals and return airport transfers. Book by 30 April for travel before 30 June.

The Karma Karnak sets off from Luxor, itself one of the great open air museums of the ancient world, sailing upriver for four nights to Aswan before returning downstream over three. Along the way, the itinerary takes in the Valley of the Kings, the magnificent Temple of Horus at Edfu, the Ptolemaic Temple of Kom Ombo, the Philae Temple on its own island at Aswan, and the option to rise before dawn for the journey to Abu Simbel, where Ramesses II stares out across the desert in four colossal sandstone likenesses.

Onboard, the mood shifts between quietly watching the Nile’s palm fringed banks drift past from the sun deck, and evenings of Nubian music, belly dancing and cocktail parties. The restaurant serves buffets drawing on Mediterranean, North African and Middle Eastern traditions. Cabins are warmly panelled in wood, air conditioned and fitted with large picture windows opening onto the river.
For those who want more, Egypt is delivering more right now. The Grand Egyptian Museum, the world’s largest museum dedicated to a single civilisation, officially opened on 1 November 2025 after decades of construction. Its centrepiece Tutankhamun Gallery presents the complete burial treasures of the pharaoh for the first time since the discovery of his tomb in 1922, more than 5,600 artefacts, over 3,000 of which have never previously been exhibited. A pre or post cruise night in Cairo to take it in is very strongly recommended.
