Kolukumallai Sunrise
Karma Munnar, Munnar 26-28 January
Discover the essence of Kerala, from sky-high tea gardens to ancient dances and heady spices, all in a richly detailed 3-day microadventure. Your experience begins with a magical pre-dawn adventure – the Kolukkumalai Trek, which ascends to one of the world’s highest tea gardens. Enjoy panoramic views and exhilarating altitude – and of course a refreshing cup of tea! Day two brings captivating performances of local Kathakali dance and Kalaripayattu martial arts, followed by a rejuvenating Ayurvedic spa therapy.
The final day immerses you in the ‘Spice Garden of India,’ with aromatic farms, elephant safaris, and rich spice heritage experiences. Kerala’s natural beauty and tradition create unforgettable memories in this curated adventure.
Golden Desert Festival
Karma Golden Camp, Jaisalmer 22-24 February
Experience the vibrant Jaisalmer Desert Festival, an annual celebration of music, food and culture in the Rajasthani sands. For three enchanting days each February, Rajasthan’s traditions come to life amidst the undulating sand dunes. Locals don festive attire, sharing tales of bravery and romance through dance and song. Musicians infuse their melodies with friendly rivalries. Puppet masters and acrobats showcase age-old arts and camels steal the show, with tattoos, races, and more.
On the 22 of February, enjoy turban tying and moustache contests at Shahid Poonam Singh Stadium. The 23rd brings camel artistry, aerial displays by the Air Force, and more at Dedansar Stadium. The grand finale on the 24th at Sam Sand Dunes promises camel performances at sunset. A unique and captivating Rajasthan experience that’s not to be missed!
A Holi Experience
Karma Haveli, Jaipur 24-25 March
Experience the vibrant Holi festival in Jaipur with Karma Curated Experiences this March as we immerse you in the Pink City’s blend of history, culture and contemporary charms, including the famously bustling markets and the iconic ‘Patrika Gate.’ All during one of India’s most important and visually spectacular festivals.
Witness the magical Holika Dahan bonfires, symbolising good triumphing over evil on 24 March. Then on 25 March, join the festivities at Karma Haveli Gardens by the Bawdi. Experience a riot of Holi colours, indulge in seasonal sweet treats, and enjoy a traditional puppet show. Chef Puran and his team at Karma Kasuri restaurant will then serve up a specially prepared Holi feast.
