Getting to Bali just became significantly easier for Karma Members based in Australia – and those travelling to our Indonesian resorts from the capital.
From 22 June 2026, Virgin Australia will launch a new direct Canberra–Bali service, marking the airline’s first-ever international flights out of Australia’s capital. Operating three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Saturday), the route removes the need to transit via Sydney or Melbourne, streamlining the journey to Bali’s beaches, reefs, ricefields and resort enclaves.
Flights will be offering Business, Economy and Economy X cabins, with afternoon departures from Canberra and red-eye returns – ideal for maximising time on the ground. The service will add more than 40,000 seats annually, reflecting Bali’s continued rise as one of Australia’s most popular international destinations.
For Members heading to Jimbaran, Sanur, Kandara or Candidasa, the new route means fewer connections, smoother travel days and a faster path from home to holiday mode. One less stop – and a better way to arrive!
